Tephrology
The name is derived from “τέφρα” which means “ash“. The ongoing project started in 2021 captures desolated, mostly rural places in different Balkan countries, predominantly Bulgaria. Old houses being slowly consumed by vegetation, dusty artefacts left behind by presumably deceased inhabitants. A sole meditation on inevitable decay, free of any social contexts
